Nail the new Spring Trend because as Essie stated on Glamour,
“It’s the only makeup that you get to see all day”
Looks like the new ombré and magnetic nail trend aren’t the only game in town this season… because the spotlight is shining on the newest nail glitter, Caviar Pearl Manicure by Ciaté. Sounds delicious right, too bad it’s not edible. Needless to say this innovative yet extravagant trend will have you trashing last nights nail polish leftovers. In other words, those so-called “in” trends will be “out”. We at Botkier call it “Avant-Garde at Your Fingertips.” The creators of the eye-catching product is Ciaté, a British nail varnish company. The ‘Caviar Manicure’ came to life when Charlotte Knight, Ciaté’s Creative Director, wanted to create a 3-dimensional nail for a magazine cover shoot that was feminine, indulgent and delicately extravagant. The fully equipped Caviar manicure kit is available in three colors: Rainbow, Black Pearl and Mother of Pearls at Sephora.

If the Caviar Manicure is too daring for you, not to worry because we have found other exciting nail expressions. A little bird told us that minimal nude hues are in, which is a perfect contrast to neon clothing and accessories trending.
Soft grey, pearl white, seashell pink, and creamy beige will emanate perfection and simplicity.

Brights can’t be left in the dark, so of course they will have their moment to shine under the sun with colors like classic red, mellow yellow, soothing pastels and preppy corals.

Spring is a perfect time to experiment with new beauty ideas. New season, new look, new you! This Spring we see some keys trends that are very wearable and easy to achieve. We polled our Botkier Babes here at the office to see what their favorite looks were and paired it with Monica’s photography to illustrate them. Which one will you be sporting?
Rosebud lips, so romantic! The soft rose color blends in beautifully on all skin tones, especially when paired with a similarly toned blush, as makeup artists were fond of doing at the shows. Go for a creamy lipstick, then pat it in with the fingers or blot with a tissue for a delicate stain. Photo of Manon von Gerkan by Monica Botkier.
Power Brows are the new shoulder pads of today! Feminine and striking, the look of bold brows dominated the runways, recalling sixties-era icons like Liz Taylor. The best examples are darkened with pigment, brushed up, and shaped with a dramatic, strong arch. Photo of Joy Bryant by Monica Botkier.
Doll Lashes. Whether curled or feathery, don’t be afraid to experiment. Long, dark and precise – more is more! Photo of Janelle by Monica Botkier.
Modern Cat Eyes. The familiar flick of liner returned to the outer corners of eyes but this time fashioned with inventive, even playful variations. Combine with a brilliant burst of bright color for a look all your own. Wow and we thought handbags were all about brights this season… Photo of Rachel Roberts by Monica Botkier.
Sporty Cheeks. Athleticism inspired the dewy, sun-splashed cheeks seen backstage. Makeup artists mimicked the effects of the being out in the sun by contouring the high parts of the face with lush peach bronze. Skin even seemed sunburned at some shows — but in this case, the illusion proved to be prettier than the real thing. Photo of Tereza by Monica Botkier.
