A few of the girls in the office are crazy about Twilight, so we’re dying with anticipation for the premiere of Eclipse. It looks like one of our favorite cast members, Ashley Greene has come down with a case of Botkier Fever! She’s been spotted wearing her Howard Street Large Satchel while out and about in Los Angeles. We think it’s in the stars – the Howard St is destined to be the perfect day to day bag.

We’re New Yorkers at heart but every once in awhile we crave an escape from the concrete jungle. Though we can’t get away every weekend, we’re all about mixing things up. Our favorite new skincare line, Made From Earth, is an invigorating  shift for the busy, on-the-go metropolitan girl.  It’s a simple solution for destressing: free from chemical additives, organic and made from products we can actually pronounce, so one less thing to worry about. Some of our instant faves: the bevy of lip balms in vanilla and peppermint, Green Tea Detox Cleanser, and their Lavender Calm Lotion.  Whether it’s a weekend in Montauk or just a relaxing beauty find, a change in scenery is oh so refreshing!  Our photos were taken by Monica after a couple of weeks of testing out the collection.

The recently opened Kenmare is getting a lot of hype, and as we’re always interested in the latest downtown spots, we sent our very own Scott Sussman to review the new haunt – his first impressions below.

Helmed by chef Joey Campanaro and nightlife entrepreneur Paul Sevigny, I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about Kenmare. As it’s in the same neighborhood as our offices and our retail store, I pass it all the time. Though reservations are hard to come by, I managed to pencil one in for an after-work dinner. The restaurant’s decor is a bit classic, as if from a bygone era and was filling up with a lively downtown crowd.

Though we were intrigued by some of the more unique items on the menu, namely the Broccoli Beer Soup and Sautéed Sardine Fillets, no one at my dining table ordered either – maybe next time! I started off with the Tuna Carpaccio (loved it, very fresh) and then had the Grilled Swordfish which I cleaned my plate for. My dining companion had the Meatball sliders and then the New York Strip Steak – both quite good. The service was excellent – Our waiter was very knowledgeable and kept our water glasses filled. I’ll definitely visit Kenmare again – there’s more on the menu I’m curious to try…

Our latest collaboration with Joy Bryant has just arrived at Shopbop. The bohemian-chic satchel has an added reward: 50% of the proceeds go to one of our favorite charities, the Oxfam International foundation.  Since we’re both  passionate about Oxfam, working with Joy was a truly gratifying experience.  For more details, take a look at the feature in June’s Lucky Magazine, and coverage on InStyle and PurseBlog
